READ: Psalms 40:1-3

1 (To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) I waited patiently for the LORD; he inclined unto me and heard my cry.

2 He brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, fear, and trust in the LORD.

MESSAGE

In the life of every child of God, Easter morning represents a new beginning that ushers in a new song. In today’s Bible reading, David waited on God in his unpleasant situation, and He heard him, changed his status, and put a new song in his mouth. This Easter morning, God will put a new song in your mouth in Jesus’ name.

Jesus rose on Easter Sunday so that you could have a new name. He grew so that you could become a co-heir with Him. He rose, and you now have hope that you will reign with Him eternally when the rapture occurs. What a privilege! I pray that every negative name you have been given will be changed to Jesus’ name this season. Just like no one can ignore Jesus, you shall not be despised in Jesus’ name.

Beloved, if Jesus has not risen in your life, then Easter is meaningless. Ask Him to come into your heart today so that you can become a co-heir.

ACTION POINT

Thank God for the new beginning He has made available to you.

HYMN 5 – Jesus, My Lord, My God, My All

1. Jesus, my Lord, my God, my all,
Hear me, blest Saviour when I call;
Hear me, and from Thy dwelling place
Pour down the riches of Thy grace;

CHORUS
Jesus, my Lord, I Thee adore;
Oh, make me love them more and more.

2. Jesus, too late I Thee have sought;
How can I love Thee as I ought?
And how to praise Thy matchless fame,
The glorious beauty of Thy name?

3. Jesus, what didst Thou find in me,
That Thou hast dealt so lovingly?
How great the joy that Thou hast brought
So far, exceeding hope or thought!

4. Jesus, of Thee shall be my song,
To Thee my heart and soul belong;
All that I have or am is Thine,
And Thou, blest Saviour, Thou art mine.
