Topic: What Makes Christianity Different?
He is not here but has risen. — Luke 24:6
Something distinguishes Christianity from all the religions of the world. Not only does it carry the truth of the redemption, by the death of our Savior for our sins on the cross, but it carries the fact that Christ rose again. Only the Christian faith claims that its Leader died, rose, and is alive now. Many gravestones carry the inscription, “Here lies . . . ,” but the words “He is not here” are emblazoned on Christ’s tomb. Christianity has no shrines to visit, dusty remains to venerate, and no tombs to worship. Many good men have lived, and still live, in the memory of those who knew them, but only one Man conquered death—Jesus Christ—and He will live forever.
Prayer for the day:
The account of Your resurrection never ceases to bring me joy, Lord Jesus.
This was written by Billy Graham, Founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). BGEA exists to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by every effective means and to equip the church and others to do the same.
Ambydennis Notice Board: Until you are born again, God’s abiding presence will never be with you. It would be best if you were born again to enjoy continuous victory. Please say the displayed prayer below in faith:
Lord Jesus, come into my life. I accept You as my Lord and Personal Saviour. I believe in my heart that You died and rose from the dead to save me. Thank You, Lord, for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
