9 But there was a confident man, called Simon, who before in the same city used sorcery and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the incredible power of God.
11 And to him, they had regard because he had bewitched them with sorceries for a long time.
12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 Then Simon himself believed also. When he was baptized, he continued with Philip and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs that were done.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
Beloved, God is unhappy with many people because they are not walking in the way He wants them to. Some people are in places where their destinies are being wasted, and they do not see anything wrong with the kind of life they are living.
Many are not up to the standards that God has set for them. Those who are expected to be spiritually mature are still babies and pick offense when things they are supposed to ignore are done to them. In verse 10 of our scriptures, the Bible has this to say, ‘To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is the great power of God.” That verse of the Scripture reveals a fascinating power or personality. He was a blind man leading blind people, but they never realized it until the revival fire went through the city of Samaria. They say in the town of blind people, the one-eyed man is always the king. That was the case of the people of Samaria.

What is bewitchment? It means to allow yourself to be controlled, influenced, and dominated by witchcraft spiritually. It is to cast a spell on someone, thereby getting remote-controlled by another to do what they would not do ordinarily.
People do all sorts of things to bewitch others: cutting the tips of people’s clothes and taking them to evil altars to afflict them. They are stealing people’s pictures and bringing them to strange places just to be able to dominate or control them.
We have heard of great men, captains of industries, and great players in the economy of nations leaving their wives and going away with strange women because they do not have the fire of God to counter the spirit and power of bewitchment. I pray that the snare of the Fowler will never catch you in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- I set every snare for me ablaze in the name of Jesus.
- I overcome bewitchment by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, avail and prevail for me, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- My spirit, man, receive fire and reject bewitchment in the name of Jesus.
- Strong man of bewitchment in my father’s house, die in the name of Jesus.
- No weapon of bewitchment shall prosper in my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Power assigned to bewitch my name, die, in the name of Jesus.
