READ: 1 Samuel 1:19-20

19 And they rose early in the morning, worshipping before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah, his wife, and the LORD remembered her.

20 Therefore it came to pass when the time came about after Hannah had conceived, that she bared a son and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.

MESSAGE

There is a set time for the favor of God in everyone’s life, and that time varies for each individual. This is why you must not envy anyone.

The time of favor is described in the Bible in different ways, one of which is ‘the time of remembrance. God remembered Hannah and blessed her with a child. He also remembered the Israelites and delivered them from slavery in Egypt. It may appear that God has forgotten you when your time of favor has not come. However, it would be best if you were patient. In today’s Bible reading, until the time of favor for Hannah came, she and everyone around her thought that she was barren. However, God changed her story and gave her a new song. When your time of favor comes, people will celebrate with you.

Beloved, do not let that little storm shake your faith. Just like Hannah did not stop praying until her time came, your time of favor will also surely come. Do not look for alternatives; God will favor you in due time. I pray that God will open a book of remembrance and favor you in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINT

Your time of favor will come; don’t look for alternatives.

HYMN 18 – Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus

One ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
To take Him at His Word;
To rest upon His promise;
To know, “Thus saith the Lord.”

CHORUS
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!

2 O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
To trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me
‘Neath the healing, cleansing flood!

3 Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.

4 I’m so glad I Learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Saviour, Friend,
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.
